Open The Add-on<\/h3>\n<p>If you have already installed the add-on via the <a href=\"https:\/\/workspace.google.com\/marketplace\/app\/einvoice_creator_einfach_erechnungen_ers\/229106705932\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Workspace Marketplace<\/a>, you can open the E-Invoice Creator Add-on directly from Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Sheets. By clicking on the <strong>E-Invoice Creator icon listed on the right side of the screen<\/strong>, you can open the add-on at any time. The add-on essentially distinguishes between two main functionalities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opening and Viewing of E-Invoices from Gmail and Drive<\/li>\n<li>Creation of E-Invoices in Google Sheets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4309 size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-2.jpg 333w, https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-2-198x300.jpg 198w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" title=\"\">2. Opening E-Inovices<\/h3>\n<p>The E-Invoice Creator add-on can open <strong>e-invoices attached in Gmail<\/strong> as well as <strong>e-invoices stored in Google Drive<\/strong>. As soon as you have opened the add-on, simply open the email with the attached e-invoice. Alternatively, select the stored e-invoice in Google Drive. The add-on will then automatically read the contents of the selected e-invoice and automatically provide you with an initial overview of the invoice\u2019s contents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> Our Viewer can generally display e-invoices in both XML and PDF format. For our Viewer to open an e-invoice, it must be compliant with the e-invoicing standards <strong>XRechnung (UBL \/ CII), FacturX, or ZUGFeRD<\/strong>. If this is not the case, you will receive a message stating that the currently selected file is not an e-invoice.<\/p>\n<p>From this view, you can perform further actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using the <strong>\u201eOpen\u201c button<\/strong>, you start our E-Invoice Viewer. It displays all contents of the e-invoice in a separate view.<\/li>\n<li>By clicking on the <strong>\u201eExport to Google Sheets\u201c<\/strong> icon directly to the right of it, you can export the contents to Google Sheets.<\/li>\n<li>Saving the e-invoice contents as a PDF is also possible in our Premium version of the add-on. To do this, simply click the <strong>\u201eSave as PDF\u201c<\/strong> icon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. Open E-Invoice Details via the Viewer<\/h3>\n<p>As soon as you have clicked the <strong>\u201eOpen button\u201c<\/strong>, the Viewer opens in a new browser tab and displays all the contents of the opened e-invoice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4310 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-3.jpg 768w, https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-3-300x104.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Note that the Viewer divides the contents into several sections. Simply click on one of the other sections in the black menu bar \u2013 <strong>\u201aDetails, Supplements, Attachments\u2026\u2018<\/strong> \u2013 to view possible additional information of the e-invoice.<\/p>\n<p>You can also start the Viewer directly via the context menu in Google Drive. Simply right-click on an e-invoice stored in Google Drive. Then open the Viewer directly via: <strong>\u201aOpen with \u2013&gt; E-Invoice Creator\u2018<\/strong> as shown in the following image.<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4312 size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"293\" height=\"636\" srcset=\"https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-5.jpg 293w, https:\/\/apps-experts.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/E-Invoice-Creator-en-5-138x300.jpg 138w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" title=\"\">4. Create E-Invoices<\/h3>\n<p>With the E-Invoice Creator, you can easily create e-invoices based on Google Sheets! To do this, simply open the add-on from within a Google Sheet. You should then see the central overview for creating e-invoices as shown on the right.<\/p>\n<p>Then, execute the following steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Copy the Invoice Template<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Configure Company Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintain Your Invoice Data based on the Template<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>5. Copy the Invoice Template<\/h3>\n<p>By clicking the corresponding button <strong>\u201eCopy Template\u201c<\/strong>, you copy the invoice template. After the copying process is complete, the new sheets <strong>\u201aInvoice Data\u2018<\/strong>, <strong>\u201aPosition Data\u2018<\/strong> (Line Item Data), and <strong>\u201aQuick Start Guide\u2018<\/strong> should be available in your Google Sheet. Please note that the template is available in German and English. The template will be copied based on the language you have set in your user settings.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Configure Company Settings<\/h3>\n<p>For invoice creation, you must also configure the menu item <strong>Company Settings<\/strong> once for your company. Essentially, in this view, you specify the general settings for your company that are valid for every invoice. All fields marked with an * are mandatory fields.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Maintain Invoice Data<\/h3>\n<p>Before you can start the processing, you only need to maintain your invoice and position data according to the copied spreadsheet template. Start Processing<\/h3>\n<p>Provided you have entered the necessary information in the Company Settings and provided details for a new invoice in a new row in the <strong>Invoice Data<\/strong> and <strong>Position Data<\/strong> sheets, you can start the processing for this new entry. To do this, <strong>select this row<\/strong> in the <strong>\u201aInvoice Data\u2018<\/strong> sheet and then start the processing via the <strong>Start<\/strong> button!<\/p>\n<p>Please note that when starting the processing via the <strong>Start<\/strong> button, only <strong>one row is processed at a time<\/strong>! To process multiple rows simultaneously, please use our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1GSi900TieKAuLzrD1XbGCrPd8dOuTT_S3BisyYyYIrg\/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.5vrckivk7fw2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Batch Processing<\/strong><\/a> feature.<\/p>\n<p>After the processing is complete, you will see a corresponding message, and a link to the created e-invoice will also be inserted in the <strong>Status column<\/strong>.
